GBV Victims Support Project
Domestic violence creates psychological trauma that is extremely difficult to overcome without professional support and presence of a loving and caring support system. Many girls are trapped in homes with abusive step fathers or aunts which negatively impacts their social, health and educational development
This project staff with the help of local volunteers and local authorities identifies vulnerable girls that are already GBV victims and those that are prone to gender based violence in the homes they live in and relocates them to a more safe environment where they can access ongoing professional support, education services and vocational skills. They are later reintegrated in their respective communities and families after all issues that rendered them vulnerable in the first place have been addressed.
