Sempa Henry
Love your neighbor as you love yourself is a commandment and a core value that guides my decisions and behavior, emphasizing treating others with compassion, consideration, and kindness as I would wish to be treated.
Henry grew up in a humble family and in a community where children and the youth are very vulnerable and prone to community vices like drug abuse, domestic violence & child abuse. Henry is Lucky to have been one of the few children in his community to benefit from sponsorship, welfare, and mentorship programs that were initiated by an organization called Ambassadors of Hope. It’s from that environment of holistic care that Henry got inspired to become a social worker and an agent of change in his community and beyond.
Henry holds a bachelor's degree in Social work & social administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Henry has mentored and helped hundreds of women and youths in central and northern Uganda to form self-help groups and community-based organizations that help come up with a collective voice to address challenges faced by different groups of people in their respective communities.
Henry transforms his understanding into purposeful action, and his childhood adversities aren’t just a story, but a foundation of my commitment to showing young children and the youth that their circumstances don’t define their futures
